Jack Nicklaus on No. 17, 1986
Jack Nicklaus makes an 11-foot birdie putt on No. 17 on Sunday to give him sole possession of the lead. During his play of the second nine in 1986, Nicklaus admitted getting emotional at the idea of winning his sixth Masters. “There were several times when the tears started swelling up," he said. “It happened four or five times out there today. I had to get a grip on myself a couple of times. You don't win the Masters at age 46.”
